ASUS releases the new X75VD laptop
There seems to have been a run on new 17.3 inch laptop being launched recently and not to be outdone by the competition Asus have launched the X75VD with a whole host of features such as twelve day standby and starting up in under two seconds. There are a lot so options to choose from too, such as in the processor, hard disk drive and operating system departments. The only problem here is that we have no pricing or availability details yet, which is a bit of a shame.
The X75VD has a handy 17.3 inch screen with a 16:9 HD+ LED Back light display a 1600 x 900 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in 0.3 mega pixel web camera. It will be running the Genuine Windows 7 Home Basic up to the Ultimate operating system. This laptop is powered by the Intel Pentium Dual-Core i3 up to i5 3210M Processor, with support from the Intel HM76 or HM70 Express Chipset and the graphics are coming through the NVIDIA GeForce GT 610M graphics card with 1 GB of DDR3 VRAM.
The internal memory starts at 4 GB up to 8 GB of DDR3 1600/1333 MHz SDRAM and there is a choice from a 320 GB up to 1 TB of 5400 RPM to 7200 RPM 2.5″ SATA hard disk drive (HDD). There is the normal integrated 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN, Built-in Bluetooth V4.0 (Optional) and 10/100/1000 Base T Ethernet connection available. Other features include the VGA port/Mini D-sub 15-pin for external monitor, a single fast connecting USB 3.0 port, two standard USB 2.0 ports, a RJ45 LAN Jack for LAN insert and the useful HDMI out. The laptop measures in at 42 cm (W) x 28.2 cm (D) x 3.46 cm to 3.66 cm (H) and weighs in at three kilos, but that is with the 6 cell 4400 mAh 47 Whrs battery pack installed.
The ASUS are yet to release the prices and availability for the X75VD.
