Asus launches the X301A laptop

Asus have brought out a new laptop designed for a wide market; it is the X301A a 13.3 inch machine with a choice of Intel Processors, hard drive and chip set. The X301A will have a starting price of just over $600, so this means that anyone from the home, student or business user could find a version of the X301A to suit his or her needs and requirements.

Asus have made the X301A with a neat 13.3 inch screen offering 16:9 high definition LED Back light with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolution and a built in 0.3 mega pixel web camera, which is handy for meetings and video calls. It will be running on a choice of Genuine Windows 7 operating systems from the Home Basic to Ultimate version. It will be powered by either the Intel Core i3, Celeron Dual Core and Pentium Dual Core Processors with support from the Intel HM76 or HM70 Express Chipset. There is a choice of up to 4 G of DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM and a further choice for 320 GB or 500 GB of a 5400 rpm 2.5″ SATA hard disk drive (HDD) for storage.

For networking there is the integrated 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN, Built-in Bluetooth V4.0 and of course, there is the 10/100/1000 Base T Ethernet LAN. Other features include the VGA port/Mini D-sub 15-pin for external monitor, super fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, standard USB 2.0 ports, the RJ45 LAN Jack for LAN insert, HDMI out and a useful 2 in 1 card reader SD & MMC. Size wise the X301A measures up at 33.1 cm (W) x 22.6 cm (D) x 2.65 cm to 3.00 cm (H) and it will weigh in at just 1.70 kg with the 6 cell 4400 mAh 47 Whrs battery already installed.
