I totally agree with psikeyhackr. Mostly the lemmings that run off the cliff in mass suicide buy the latest and "greatest" gadgets because they want to show off. I've never seen anyone use all the features on their fancy mobile phones. Usually there's a cliquish attitude where everyone in the clique has to have the same mobile, or they are not with the "in crowd".

Usually teenagers and young adults are the ones who become elitist like this and think they are cool. Sorry, but I won't pay more than $50 for a damn mobile phone anyway. I use a fixed wireless phone at home and that's good enough for me. It's too distracting to have texts and phone calls when you are busy with something called real life. I don't understand people who think they need their phone with them at all times.

But how many people buy this stuff because it is COOL but don't use anywhere near what it's capable of. But then companies have to come out with even more sophisticated phones to be even MORE COOL because people will buy them to BE COOL.

It's not about technology it's about dummies showing off. I have a DUMB phone but I also carry a PMA400 Linux computer. It's an e-book reader an MP3 player and it has a web browser that I almost never use because the screen is too small even though it is bigger than what is on most smartphones. I want my phone to stay dumb.
