Apple Reveals Consumer Demand For New iPad Is Off The Charts
It was on March 7 when Apple CEO Tim Cook took the stage at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California. Reputable media outlets were invited there that day to witness the unveiling of Apple’s third-generation iPad. The tablet that was very much anticipated not only by journalists but by millions of people around the globe. Apple announced the New iPad, and it is due to start shipping from March 16. Merely five days have passed since the tablet was announced, Apple revealed that consumer demand for their latest iPad is off the charts.
Apple has taken a series of risky steps in the previous quarter and in this one as well. In the previous quarter, Apple announced iPhone 4S which was not the smartphone everyone was hoping for. There had been talks about a radically redesigned iPhone 5 but as it turns out, the company had shelved that project all together. The iPhone 4S is cosmetically similar to the iPhone 4S but packs a lot of punch under the hood. It is exactly the same with New iPad. Apple’s latest tablet looks, weights and feels exactly like it’s predecessor the iPad 2. No cosmetic changes whatsoever have been made.
Nevertheless, despite the fact that iPhone 4S looks just like iPhone 4, it proved to become Apple’s fastest selling iPhone to date only because what they did on the inside is truly remarkable. Now, it looks like history might be repeating itself with the New iPad. Apple has made no changes on the outside by it has done some remarkable things on the inside. Apple says that consumer demand for their new tablet is off the charts. The quantity that they had made available for pre-orders has been sold out. The company is pretty sure that this tablet is going to be a hit.
The New iPad comes with a powerful dualcore A5X processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Apple has added the beautiful Retina Display technology which makes the 9.7-inch screen a breeze as well as a joy to use. A new 5 megapixel iSight camera is also on-board which is capable of recording full 1080p HD video at 30 frames-per-second. 4G LTE support has been added. Despite all of these amazing features, the New iPad still retains the legendary 10 hour battery life. Apple has also retained previous price points with the 16GB Wi-Fi model starting at $499. If all goes well, which is getting obvious with each passing day, Apple can have yet another record breaking quarter, this time thanks to the New iPad.
