The RAZR, while it was a tad high end when it came out, can now be had nearly free from both of the largest service providers in the US. Everyone has one, not necessarily because they sought it out, but because it was very easy to get--if not pushed upon them. That will never happen with the iPhone simply because of it's price point, however I do see it giving all the windows smartphones and blackberrys a serious run for their money.
