It would be worth it for you to take a look, and many of your questions would be answered. Jobs did a demo where he showed the virtual keypad and typing emails, and he actually made several calls right there and the quality was pretty good from what I could hear. I'm not saying there won't be any issues with it when it comes out, but I think most of the criticism so far is unfounded. Wait till the thing is released, then critique.
