Until we don’t hear the Apple CEO take center stage and announce a new product, rumors regarding new products don’t cease to come in even as close as just one day from the actual announcement. This has certainly been the case with iPhone 5 which has been rumored for quite some time now. We have seen, heard and read a plethora of rumors from a wide variety of sources around the world. Earlier today some high quality images, believed to be of iPhone 5, were posted online showing what is reportedly the new iPhone in all its glory.
We are less than a full day away from the official announcement event of iPhone 5. Last year it was expected that Apple will announce a fully redesigned and revamped iPhone however all we got was a slightly internally modified iPhone 4S which retained the design and dimensions of the iPhone 4. This year we’re very much hoping for an entirely different iPhone, and from what we gather through rumors, indeed an entirely different iPhone it is going to be.
It will definitely be a disappointment if our expectations of the iPhone 5 are not met tomorrow, however I find that hard to believe. Apple knows what its customers are looking forward to and it is expected to fill those expectations. One of the biggest changes expected in the iPhone 5 is the larger display of about 4 inches. The iPhone, ever since the first one came out, has boasted a 3.5 inch display but now Apple seems to have finally succumbed to the antics of its Android challengers, all of which have displays over 4 inches.
The focus of rumors and speculation has been more towards design and dimensions as compared to internal hardware. Only a few details have been rumored about the internal specifications. We expect to have a quadcore A6 processor on board coupled with at least 2GB of RAM. 4G LTE compatibility, which could get Apple sued over iPhone 5 by Samsung, is also expected. There has also been talk of a 12 megapixel back camera and an aluminium back plate in place of the glass one used by iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.
While it is being said that the device in these pictures is an actual iPhone 5, it was pointed out to me by a friend that Apple only uses Star Screws and not standard ones which can be seen in the first picture. It can be safely said that these are high quality images of an iPhone 5 mockup which is impressively close to the real thing. The iPhone 5 will be announced tomorrow and might begin shipping in the US as soon as September 21.
