Acer Updates Aspire One Specs
Acer have release updated versions of its smaller Aspire One machines, it has been noted that in Europe they are selling the Aspire One 522 and 722 netbooks with updated AMD processors and graphics. It seems that they have quietly introduced the machine to the AMD dual core C-60 APU with 1.0 GHz and 1.33 GHz Turbo and the Radeon high definition 6290 graphics card.
The introduction of these faster chips is not exactly going to turbo speed things up in the netbooks, but for the user who travels around and requires basic computing while on the move, it will mean that the machine is better at starting and running of programmes should be a lot smoother, although PC style performance should not be expected from these netbooks.
The Features for the Aspire One AO522 are; A 10.1 inch high definition Acer CineCrystal LED LCD with Built in Web camera. Memory is 1 GB of RAM and there is 250 GB of hard disk drive (HDD) storage available. Networking is provided by the Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n wireless and a Bluetooth 3.0+ HS connection. Connectivity is three standard USB 2.0 Ports, an HDMI Port with HDCP Support and it has a 6 cell Li-ion battery that Acer say is good for up to six hours of use.
The features for the Aspire One AO722 are; An 11.6 inch high definition Widescreen CineCrystal LED back lit Display with built in 0.3 Mega pixel Web camera. The storage on this one is 2 GB of DDR3 Single-Channel Memory and it has an average 250 GB SATA Hard disk Drive (HDD). Networking is covered by the 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and connectivity comes from 3 x standard USB 2.0 Ports, a single HDMI Port with HDCP Support and it has a six cell Li-ion Battery offering up to seven hours of battery life.
