I've recently had problems with my Acer Aspire 5920 Notebook Laptop. In fact it has locked me out from booting and will not allow me access to the SATA drive even if removed from the machine.
I would like to remove/erase Vista and, having cleaned out the drive, install XP instead.
However I cannot, as yet, find a driver for the motherboard to mount the drive at bootup time. Can anyone tell me where to find such a driver that could be loaded on to a floppy? Please !
Trying to find my way round the ASUS maze is bewildering and, so far, fruitless. It seems to be set up such that the motherboard will only run with Vista. Can this be true?
Thanks for any help you can give .
