Dear Acer Laptop Users,
The most problem while OS in Acer laptops is that some drivers included in Driver CD supplied with systems are not compatibl e with the devices inside the laptop. Don’t worry at all. The driver download facility in Acer websites with updated drivers will solve the problem. If any more advice needed I am ready to assist you as I am a proud and satisfied customer of Acer systems for years and I am myself a hardware & software engineer.

ACER Aspire 5720Z, the worst laptop i ever had. I used fujitsu-siemens and HP for a while and both were perfect. As for the ACER, it is slow even if the CPU is a Core 2 DUO with 2GB RAM. The touchpad response is bad even with its ALPS driver.

Hello Everybody,
This is a common issue with Acer laptops with Wifi. An updated Wifi driver provided in the Acer(Euro) driver download site will solve the problem definitely. Moreover, let you contact the nearest Acer Customer Care Centre for more help in this like case. This is a 100% solution for Acer laptop users.

The 5720 Z comes with Vista, so some of the hardware isn’t supported by XP.

Hello!

What operating system do you have?
Is the DVD drive icon appearing in My Computer?
What happens when you insert a DVD? Does the icon in My Computer show that there is a DVD inserted, but you can’t open it? Does the same thing happen when you insert a CD? I read somewhere that lens for CD and DVD are separate, and if you can read one type of disc, but not the other, that is most probably the problem.

Try cleaning drive’s lens with a special CD and liquid – you can find it in most hardware shops. Here is an example: http://tr.im/nhDn

If the lens are damaged you need a new drive.

Maybe you can find a solution in Help and Support Center. If you have XP, follow these steps:
Click Start > Control Panel > Printers and Other Hardware > Under Troubleshooters – Hardware > Specify your problem.

Okay I have a really big problem. I have had my Acer Aspire 5720Z since last year but recently in the last 2 weeks my Pioneer DVD-RW DVRKD08RS drive has stoped working, the Acer website has no fix to this. I was wondering if anyone could help.

CD that you get with Acer Aspire 5720Z is made for Windows Vista. If you installed XP (like I did) you can download drivers from the official site of Acer. There are drivers for (get ready): Audio, Bluetooth, Camera, Card Reader, Chipset, LAN, Modem, SATA, Touchpad, TV Tuner, VGA and WLAN.

I can’t paste link because I think it differs when accessing from different computers and I it is a kind of 9E7F85C86…blah-blah…66BEBDFD7… link. So, follow these steps:

* Go to http://www.acer.com/worldwide/selection.html
* Select your country or, even better, United States (because it’s in English like these steps)
* On “Acer Home” web-page click “Service & Support”
* Click “Driver Download”
* Select “Notebook”
* Select “Aspire”
* Select “Aspire 5720Z”
* From the drop-down box choose your operating system (IT INCLUDES XP!)
* Go to tab “Driver” if it isn’t already selected

Click other tabs to download more stuff for your 5720Z. I downloaded Bluetooth driver and it works PERFECTLY! It’s so fun to control mouse cursor with your cell phone

Don’t use other sites nor torrent when you can download from the official page.

I have problems drivers i changed from vista to xp the problem wlan ,blootooth ,options key is not detected and ican’t install drivers .

I need a power cord for this acer aspire 5720z laptop. My daughter uses this and the power cord just quit working. I have ordered several replacements ones from ebay but they never work. Can you help suggest where I can purchase a replacement?
