Google Extends Search To Enterprise Apps
Google is thinking outside the box so you can find more inside it. On Wednesday, the company plans to announce a new enterprise developer program, new enterprise partnerships, and new enterprise search hardware that offers secure, real-time access to corporate data stores.
The upgunned Google Search Appliance includes a feature called Google OneBox for Enterprise that extends the familiar Google keyword search box to encompass a broader array of information.

Google Gains Search Market Share
Google Inc. in March increased its share of the U.S. search market.
Out of the top five search engines, Google and Ask Network, formerly known as Ask Jeeves, were the only companies to record a share increase. Yahoo Inc., Microsoft Corp.’s MSN and the Time Warner Network posted a decline.

What a surprise to read that Google rose 6.3 percent to capture 42.7 percent of the 6.4 billion searches conducted online.
How sad for Microsoft that it’s share of the search market dropped 3.3 percent to 13.2 percent. Well ok, not really sad. Yay Google!
I was a little surprised to read that Yahoo is down 2.6 percent to 28 percent. At least Yahoo is still beating MSN.
Apple hit with patent lawsuit
SAN FRANCISCO (Business 2.0 Magazine) - Burst.com, a two-person Internet video company, has sued Apple, claiming that its iTunes and QuickTime software violate Burst’s patents.
Techdirt says the move was expected after Apple (Research) filed suit earlier this year to have the court declare Burst’s patents invalid.
Last year, Burst brought a patent-infringement lawsuit about Internet video delivery against Microsoft (Research), settling the case for $60 million after alleging that Microsoft tried to crush the company.
Both Burst and Apple have hired big legal guns, setting this up to be a case the likes of which we haven’t seen since NTP sued Research In Motion (Research) over the BlackBerry.
