Power Ballads
You pumped your fists when they rocked. Your heart pumped full of love when they broke out these sweet ballads. Go ahead, shed a tear or two.
That’s the introduction on the liner notes on the CD that I picked up yesterday titled “The Greatest Hits - Power Ballads” from my local Target.
The CD was only $8.99, so it was well worth the cash to have some songs from days gone by in my music collection.
I just finished listening to all 12 tracks straight through this afternoon while I was driving around. The songs brought back so many memories from high school and from when I was in a metal band. Good times indeed.
The track list has some of the biggest bands from the 1980’s-1990’s:
Whitesnake, Damn Yankees, Warrant, Poison, Night Ranger, Scorpions, Bad English, Skid Row, Extreme, Mr. Big, Cinderella and Queensryche.
So for any of my readers who are into late 80’s-90’s metal, go grab this CD. It’s less then $10.00, so it’s not a major purchase ![]()
It’s MySpace for Goth’s
So poking around the internet tonight doing random searches, I come across the following URL www.findagoth.com
It’s like MySpace but for Goth’s. It’s so Goth-Tastic.
Side note, while chatting online with my friend Luke, he randomly says:
man, how narcissistic is it that I have my webcam running to watch myself?
Yeah. He’s funny. There you go Luke, 15 minutes of fame
A friendly reminder from Microsoft

Google and Its OneBox
As the movers, shakers, and thinkers of the search industry convene in Boston this Sunday for the start of the 11th annual Search Engine Meeting, the thunder at what has traditionally been a quasi-academic think-in is threatened to be stolen by — what else? — Google.
The OneBox announcement this week by the search colossus coupled with reports that eBay is talking with Microsoft and Yahoo about teaming up to combat Google’s momentum dominated pre-conference chatter.

eBay is talking with Microsoft and Yahoo about teaming up to combat Google? That’s just crazy talk if you ask me!
Why wouldn’t eBay go to Google and try to team up with them instead? Why hasn’t Google contacted eBay about teaming up? Hmm… maybe they have?! Dun Dun DUN!!!
We need to keep an eye on this story for sure. It reminds me of the regional telephone company wars from 10+ years ago… who will be the dominate phone company? who will handle the lines? who will be the cheapest long distance provider?
Real Fact #178
The first ballpoint pens were sold in 1945 for $12.00.
When we say we put only the Best Stuff in the bottle, we don’t just stop at the sipping part. Go ahead and flip your lid! There’s a Real Fact printed under each and every cap, and by “Real,” we mean A-1, certified, true info. Some of ‘em might sound a little out there, but we promise they’re correct.
