WARNING SERIOUS THREAT!

This morning from a cave somewhere in Pakistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammad Omar, warned the United States that if military action against Iraq continues, Taliban authorities will cut off America’s supply of convenience store managers. If this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next.

Note: This is a joke and not a real statement. Fun and Humor you see.

A good Monday morning laugh

This sucks… hehe… but really funny.

No Toilet Paper

Moral of the picture? Keep extra toilet paper on hand :)

YES!!!

My Pac-Man project LIVES!!!

Today after 3 attempts, my buddy Jim and I got a monitor to work.

We hit the local dump, found a monitor for $5.00 and did a cap kit and some other work to it and wah-lah! It works with a beautiful picture!

I’ll be taking some photos tonight and post them over the weekend…

and now to go play with my project…

Oh No! They Didn’t!!!

Below is the promotional poster for the BenQ P50 PocketPC/Phone.

Dude with Laptop

What’s wrong with the above promotional poster?

It’s an ad poster for a PocketPC which runs on Windows Mobile OS, so why is there a old titanium Powerbook laptop in the picture?

Why was this done you ask?

Because marketing people like Macs… it doesn’t matter that Windows Mobile doesn’t sync to the Mac without a piece of third party software because Powerbooks look nice.

The irony of it, it’s an advertisement for PocketPC but they use a Mac laptop.

If they want to showcase a nice laptop, they should consider a Sony VAIO instead of Mac.

I wonder what the reaction of the BenQ Corporation was when they realized this mistake?!

More Pac-Man woes…

My buddy Jim came by yesterday to pick up my dead monitor.

We took it to his shop to replace the fly back on it which is about a 10 minute fix. Not to bad.

In the process of going through the circuit board looking for anything else that needs some work while we have it out of the cabinet, we found 7 bad caps. Yikes!

Moral of the story? The circuit board is being sent to a TV repair shop because they can fix everything and warranty it… all for $60.00 including shipping. Not such a bad deal.

At this point my project Pac-Man currently doesn’t have a monitor but we are burning in a replacement at his shop. Keep your fingers crossed.

If it holds up for a straight 48 hours of running without any cracks, pops or black smoke coming out of it, my Pac-Man project will be up and running for the weekend.

Yuck!

I really hate the smell of a fly back going out in a video game monitor… oh and the black smoke… yuck!

Yes folks, my project Pac-Man monitor took a shit just moments ago… but have no fear… my buddy Jim will be hooking me up with a replacement monitor tomorrow for free since I got my current monitor from him.

In the next few days, I’ll post some pictures of my project Pac-Man for all to see.
